We Will Not Grow Old

Yesterday I turned 21 years old and damn I feel old already. For your info I don't usually celebrate my birthdays, so even when it's my 21st, I did no celebration. However I did went out with my family and friends to eat!

I woke up around 12pm and went to Bedok Interchange with my mum. We ate at the Segar Halal Thai Chinese Cuisine Restaurant. That's like our favourite restaurant near our house and the food there is super good and inexpensive too! (It's located near the Princess Cinema and the McDonald's.) I strongly recommend you to go and try if you're staying in Bedok!

Next I went out in the evening to catch up with Liyun. It's been like a year since I last saw her and she slimmed down a lot! (Lol, Liyun, shiok or not? I praise you.) We went to the Ice Cream Gallery to have some ice creammmmmm. It's my second visit there and I think the standard has dropped! There were only 4 different flavours of ice cream available lor! And all very disgusting one so I had to choose the most typical strawberry flavour but okay lah, I love strawberry. Lol.

Rushed to meet the 4uckers (lol that's not my clique's name, I'm not so xmm onez) afterwards at Plaza Singapura's Ichiban Sushi. I'm not a sushi or jap food lover so I guess the food was so-so. Just what you'd expect a japanese set meal would be. -_- But the main point is to catch up! So good to have all the 5 of us together. Like we will never run out of stupiak things to say and gossip about. Zhenwen said if our lives are to be make into a reality show (like those kpop idol shows. lol), it will sure be very very entertaining! WORD. After the quick dinner we flew to Daiso to get some cheap buys for the picnic on Sunday. We kept throwing things into the basket as if it's all free lor. I just kept saying "Take lah, $2 only. So cheap nia." Then it all added up to $40. First time spent so much at Daiso lor hahaha.

The Plain Breakfast

It's been a while since I took eating breakfast seriously. A long long while. Because most of the time I just sleep all the way until afternoon. So when a friend asked me out for a breakfast date, I decided to give it a chance. Woke up amazingly early at around 8am and headed off to The Plain Cafe, situated at 50 Craig Road, Tanjong Pagar. A very short walk from Outram Park station will bring you to the Melbourne-styled cafe along a quiet street. (About 5 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar or Outram Park station.) The cafe offers simple breakfast food like toasts, eggs and sandwiches. (There are also tarts and cakes if you're lucky enough.)

Walking into the cafe, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staffs. The whole place is simply but well furnished. My friend and I especially love the grey concrete walls.

My friend ordered a Dean's Breakfast ($6 for half, $10.20 for full) with a latte, and I got myself a Darling's Eggs ($6.50 for half, $11.50 for full) with a hot chocolate. And of course, we went for the full sets. The food was alright although I didn't really like the poached eggs plus it's not very filling.

Overall, the cafe's ambient was really comfortable and it will be nice to visit it for breakfast during one of the lazy weekend mornings. What else can be better than enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, having a warm cup of hot chocolate and catching up with your friends? P/S: You get to gossip too! Haha.

And that's a happy me.
