So it's been a while since I last blogged. As much as I wanna blog, I really can't - since I spent 80% of my time in army camp. And due to that, I normally have nothing much to blog about. Unless you want blog posts like, "Today I ran 4km in the morning and went to gym in the afternoon. Ate dinner at the cookhouse at 1730." Wtf right? #FuckMyNSLife.

As I was saying, I wanted to blog about something so here's a forced post about my hair transformations throughout the years. (LOL like 2 years only lah.) BECAUSE it's like a hot topic on my YouTube videos. Like when I had blonde hair people will comment "Oh, you look like XXX (whoever that has blonde hair), when I had short hair, "Oh you look like XXX (which ever idol that has short brown hair) and then when I shaved my hair for army, "OMG WHY ARE YOU BALD O_O ZOMG" and yada yada.

Firstly, for those who do not know, I used to have like curly hair? Like when I try to grow my fringe long, it starts to curl in all sorts of weird way. So much so I decided to shave my head when I was in Secondary school and let the hair re-grow. (So army is not the first time I shaved my head.) And miraculously, I had really (relatively) straight hair ever since? ANYWAY I'M NOT SAYING YOU MUST SHAVE YOUR HEAD TO HAVE STRAIGHT HAIR OKAY! Lol later all of you go and shave your head don't blame me lol wtf.

Here's a picture of me during Secondary school. LOL I don't know why but I looked like an ahbeng (hooligan) and somemore so tanned. I think that was like the trend back then? Like those spiky hair.

Fast-forward a few years, I went to Poly. I still had that ahbeng hairstyle. But that didn't last long because after like half a year, I cut my hair and had bangs for the first (and last) time.

As soon as my fringe grew long, I cut my hair short and tried the "Armani" hairstyle. But that kind of failed so I grew my hair again. (At the point of time, I was beginning to start thinking if I should bleach my hair blonde. And contrary to popular belief, this was BEFORE G-Dragon started the whole blonde hair trend.)

Then finally on one faithful day, I bleached my hair. That's the start of my blonde-haired era.

Actually the result after the first time wasn't very ideal because my hair turned out orange rather than blonde? (I was going for like golden blonde.) But yea, at least I bleached my hair. Haha. And for a few weeks after that, I felt quite self-conscious when I go out cause I'm worried like how people will look at me (like "wah this one sure ahbeng one lol") since blonde is like an unusual colour back then. (But now everyone also blonde hair so it's like mehhhhh. :S)

As you know, black roots will start to show after a while, and my orange hair became lighter and lighter every time I went to touch up on my roots.

(This picture is irrelevant but it's damn funny so I posted it. Miss the time in Korea!)

I stayed blonde for quite some time. So much so that I went to a Halloween party at my school with black hair (you know, like sprayed my hair black). Lol ironic.

And once in a while, I tried to curl my hair cause I thought it looked cool. (Cause SHINee's Key had curled hair in during Juliette promo.)

I like to experiment with my hair. In fact, I did quite a lot of stupid things with my hair like in these pictures:

And finally went I graduated from Poly, I dyed my hair back to brown. (Mainly because I went back to Shanghai to visit my grandparents and I didn't want to give them a shock lol and I also had to take photo for my passport.)

Didn't cut my hair all the way until I enlisted into the army and became bald. O_O

(Super tanned like a charcoal.)

And then the hair slowly grew longer AGAIN.

(Tried the curry-pok combed back hair, which I quite like.)

And this is how my hair looks like now.

Yesterday I turned 21 years old and damn I feel old already. For your info I don't usually celebrate my birthdays, so even when it's my 21st, I did no celebration. However I did went out with my family and friends to eat!

I woke up around 12pm and went to Bedok Interchange with my mum. We ate at the Segar Halal Thai Chinese Cuisine Restaurant. That's like our favourite restaurant near our house and the food there is super good and inexpensive too! (It's located near the Princess Cinema and the McDonald's.) I strongly recommend you to go and try if you're staying in Bedok!

Next I went out in the evening to catch up with Liyun. It's been like a year since I last saw her and she slimmed down a lot! (Lol, Liyun, shiok or not? I praise you.) We went to the Ice Cream Gallery to have some ice creammmmmm. It's my second visit there and I think the standard has dropped! There were only 4 different flavours of ice cream available lor! And all very disgusting one so I had to choose the most typical strawberry flavour but okay lah, I love strawberry. Lol.

Rushed to meet the 4uckers (lol that's not my clique's name, I'm not so xmm onez) afterwards at Plaza Singapura's Ichiban Sushi. I'm not a sushi or jap food lover so I guess the food was so-so. Just what you'd expect a japanese set meal would be. -_- But the main point is to catch up! So good to have all the 5 of us together. Like we will never run out of stupiak things to say and gossip about. Zhenwen said if our lives are to be make into a reality show (like those kpop idol shows. lol), it will sure be very very entertaining! WORD. After the quick dinner we flew to Daiso to get some cheap buys for the picnic on Sunday. We kept throwing things into the basket as if it's all free lor. I just kept saying "Take lah, $2 only. So cheap nia." Then it all added up to $40. First time spent so much at Daiso lor hahaha.

The Plain Breakfast

It's been a while since I took eating breakfast seriously. A long long while. Because most of the time I just sleep all the way until afternoon. So when a friend asked me out for a breakfast date, I decided to give it a chance. Woke up amazingly early at around 8am and headed off to The Plain Cafe, situated at 50 Craig Road, Tanjong Pagar. A very short walk from Outram Park station will bring you to the Melbourne-styled cafe along a quiet street. (About 5 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar or Outram Park station.) The cafe offers simple breakfast food like toasts, eggs and sandwiches. (There are also tarts and cakes if you're lucky enough.)

Walking into the cafe, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staffs. The whole place is simply but well furnished. My friend and I especially love the grey concrete walls.

My friend ordered a Dean's Breakfast ($6 for half, $10.20 for full) with a latte, and I got myself a Darling's Eggs ($6.50 for half, $11.50 for full) with a hot chocolate. And of course, we went for the full sets. The food was alright although I didn't really like the poached eggs plus it's not very filling.

Overall, the cafe's ambient was really comfortable and it will be nice to visit it for breakfast during one of the lazy weekend mornings. What else can be better than enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, having a warm cup of hot chocolate and catching up with your friends? P/S: You get to gossip too! Haha.

And that's a happy me.

Caught Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 tonight and I must say I had goosebumps throughout the film. It's almost 10 years since the first HP film came out. Can you believe it's ending now? I think most people my age grew up with Harry Potter. Harry aka Daniel Radcliffe used to be a cute boy but looks horrible now, Ron aka Rupert Grint used to be short and has grown so much taller now and Hermoine aka Emma Watson, OMG she became so pretty!!! So it finally all ended with Part 2 of the Deathly Hallows. It kinda feels like the end to my childhood. Lol, drama much? I guess everyone is growing up and it's time to let go of our childhood. Oh well, anyway not gonna write any spoilers here but my favourite scene of the movie has got to be the part where Professor McGonagall (Maggie Smith) and the rest stood by and protected the Hogwarts castle. And when the stone statues became alive and guarded the castle, OMG T_T goosebumps moment. That entire sceneis seriously epic to the max I don't mind watching the whole movie again just for it lor!

And here's the awesome score to the epic scene. MUST LISTEN. Can you feel it? Can you feel the epicness?!

Anyway, I caught the movie in 3D and I think the cinemas here finally changed to better 3D glasses! (The old ones are damn chunky and disgusting. Wear already will have headache one!) And they gave me this "wet tissue-ish" wipe to clean the 3D glasses. The packet looks like those McDonald's seaweed shaker pack or like condom lor! Hahaha. Yes, that's a picture of me looking retarded wearing the 3D glasses. Now laugh.

Went for dinner after the movie. Since everywhere is closing at 930pm (Can you believe shops here close so early?! Where's the night life man!), I had Thai Express which opens till lateR.

Met up with the designkidz to go to Singapore Polytechnic DCMD hive's TGIV event for a talk about social media by Pat Law of GOODSTUPH. All the drama aside, kinda learnt some new things about social media. It was interesting when she said that when she woke up every morning, the first thing she does is to login to facebook, check + reply her twitter and read the headlines off her rss feeds reader. I turned to my friend and we both laughed as we think it was freaking true! Because that is what most of us are doing ourselves every morning! Social media has slowly taken over our daily lives without us even noticing. It is becoming a part of our lives, something like a daily routine I guess. Rather than reading the newspaper, people nowadays learn about news through social media sources like facebook and twitter because it is so damn convenient and so much faster. Gone are the days when you sat down by the table and read the morning papers while drinking a cup of hot coffee. So hive was still the same, talked to Ms Huei, David and Shirlynn. Awkwardly, the juniors there were all people that we do not know. Yea, that was a tell-tale sign that we are getting older. (Can you believe I graduated almost 2 years ago?! O_O)

However, the main purpose to meet up (at least for me,) was to catch up with the designkidz! It has been a while since such a big group of us met up. It was all fun catching up with them and talking about all the bullshit and whatnot, it almost felt like the good o' days back when we were still in school. Le sigh.

Went to Ah Chew Deserts after dinner because it is our all time favourite desert shop! Love its watermelon sago with vanilla ice-cream. Must try!

I've been buying quite a lot of magazines lately.

Vogue, Style: MEN, and some others here and there.

I kinda like the surprise when you find out who's on the cover that month.

It feels damn good when you hold a magazine on your hands,

so different than let's say, reading a magazine on your iPad or phone.

But I guess the print is slowly being replaced in the digital age.

DARK OF THE MOON

So I caught Transformers: Dark of the Moon just now and I think it's pretty good.
Not gonna spoil you all with the plot here but basically it has
all the elements of a awesome movie that I love!
Alien invasion, end of the world, outer-space, NASA conspiracies, you name it!
See, so many genres in 1 movie! Super worth it right!?
But besides that, the movie was pretty much the same

as the previous 2 movies of the series.
Just a mass orgy of machines destroying each other.
Must be a pain-in-the-ass for the CGI guy to make all of that.

I'd give it a 3.5/5 rating.
I'm super lenient when rating movies because I'm easily pleased. LOL!
